Health & Healing

Health is the free flow of energy through the body and can be achieved through an ever evolving mind, body, spirit balance or equilibrium.

Your body has incredible untapped potential to heal, that potential lies in a place of peace, deep inside you. It is always there, always accessible. Silence unlocks the body's innate capacity to heal and helps you move towards greater inner peace, guidance and well-being.

Power to Change Interview

I recently wrote a chapter in a book called Power to Change.  It includes my chapter - 5 P's to Making Life Enhancing Changes as well as chapters from 18 other experts in various modalities of creating change.

In addition to outlining how to facilitate change, I answer the question - 'why do people often wait until they have a life-threatening diagnosis, like cancer, to make life-enhancing changes?'. The 5 P's are: Pain, Power, Permission, Passion and Purpose.  Please use this link to listen to my interview: http://www.thepowertochangetelesummit.com/audioseries.htm

Accept the Unexpected

Let me take that thought one step further. Explore and celebrate the unexpected. The unexpected twist on my manifestation journey was when I woke up last Saturday morning and tried to get up. I could not lift my head. I had a pinched nerve on the left side of my neck. I was very stiff and sore.

So I canceled my ski day and instead spent some time in the lodge reading quietly and sipping my tea. The next day it felt a bit better so I exercised cautiously and then indulged in a hot bath. Monday I went to see my chiropractor and Tuesday I had a massage and another hot bath.  Both evenings I went to bed around 10pm and so I have been getting some extra rest.

Upon further reflection I think this little unexpected injury was a sign from the Universe (and my body) and the message was pretty clear – slow down and pamper myself!

Part of my life purpose is to help people find the blessing in the darkness of their struggle.  So I invite you today to reflect on what you have been doing to nurture yourself and celebrate your progress.  Additionally, look at what you think did not go well for you, what challenges or hurdles you faced and ask yourself – what did they teach meWhat was I encouraged to do as a result of the set back and you just might find that, as in my case, the experience you most needed may have come your way!

I know it seems strange to think about being grateful for a pinched nerve so I won’t go that far but I am grateful for the lesson and the opportunity to slow down and smell the Tiger Balm!  I invite you to review and update your plan to really care for yourself and keep an eye out for the unexpected blessings or teachings along the way.

Until next week, continue to nurture yourself and to practice acceptance of whatever challenges come your way.

Nurturing Yourself & Coaching Specials

Do you feel really ready to manifest your intention?

Valentine’s day seems like an appropriate day to talk about loving and nurturing yourself!  On her journey (that I discussed last week) Anita Moorjani was not running around trying to contact publishers or networking for more leads before writing her book.  She took time to be with nature and to quiet her mind.  Time to go within and reflect, time do just be.  In my first post about this process of manifesting I said the steps were based on the premise that when the student is ready the teacher or the circumstances will present themselves

So let’s put this principle to work.  How can you nurture and prepare yourself to receive the guidance and be open to opportunities from the Universe?  Here are some of the things I am going to focus on over the next few weeks in order to be really ready:

  • Getting more rest – so getting to bed by 10ish on week nights
  • Meditating more – twice a day for at least 20 minutes
  • Moving my body – exercising, dancing or doing yoga every day
  • Staying present – slowing down and practicing mindfulness throughout my day
  • Relaxing more – taking a least one Epson salt bath per week

I feel that by sticking to this plan for a couple of weeks I will have nourished myself and will be in a better place to receive guidance and move into action!

I invite you to write out a few ideas that you may have about really taking care of yourself.

REMINDER: Today is the LAST DAY to take advantage of my special coaching packages or buy them for a loved one (4 one-hour sessions for $349 or 6 sessions for $480 or 10 sessions for $750).

Blessing for a wonderful week full of love and nourishment for the soul!
Jackie

PS In case you want to review the 4 steps of manifesting here they are:

  1. Set a soul-based intention (that you feel passionate about)
  2. Nurture and prepare yourself to receive
  3. Give what you want to receive
  4. Be open, curious and start receiving!
