Health & Healing

Health is the free flow of energy through the body and can be achieved through an ever evolving mind, body, spirit balance or equilibrium.

Your body has incredible untapped potential to heal, that potential lies in a place of peace, deep inside you. It is always there, always accessible. Silence unlocks the body's innate capacity to heal and helps you move towards greater inner peace, guidance and well-being.

Power to Change Interview

I recently wrote a chapter in a book called Power to Change.  It includes my chapter - 5 P's to Making Life Enhancing Changes as well as chapters from 18 other experts in various modalities of creating change.

In addition to outlining how to facilitate change, I answer the question - 'why do people often wait until they have a life-threatening diagnosis, like cancer, to make life-enhancing changes?'. The 5 P's are: Pain, Power, Permission, Passion and Purpose.  Please use this link to listen to my interview: http://www.thepowertochangetelesummit.com/audioseries.htm

Is it time to slow down?

As the pace picks up around the back to school period my thoughts are on slowing down.  I spent time in Cape Cod this summer and it was a great reminder of what speed my autopilot was set on – too fast!  Living in a big city with lots of traffic and lots of people I have gotten used to a fast pace.  Whereas in Cape Cod people not only stop for pedestrians at cross walks but they go out of their way to let tourists cross no matter where. They also let over cars go ahead when they are stuck in a tough spot somewhere.  It was such a refreshing change of pace that I could not help but reflect on how rushed we are most of the time.

So my theme for this fall is to slow down and take it all in, people, animals, flowers, the sky - clouds are so amazing to watch...

If the notion of slowing down resonates with you I invite you to think of ways you can integrate it into your day.  For example;

  • Eating more mindfully
  • Purposely letting people cut in front of you in traffic
  • Leaving earlier so you are not in a rush to get places
  • Spending time every day admiring something beautiful in nature

But the most important of all, take time to breath well, really feel your in-breaths and your out-breaths and appreciate each breath for the revitalizing and renewing power it has on your system.  You can also use your breath to help you slow down and relax by extending your out-breaths so that they are longer than your in-breaths for a few minutes each day. I wish you all a slower and more leisurely month of September!

I want your Feedback!

My telesummit interview - Find the Blessing in your Struggle - aired yesterday and is available for download for the next 24hrs.  It is a strange feeling to put your heart into a talk and then not be able to see or hear the reaction of your audience.  So I was very thrilled yesterday to get some feedback from a listener (see below for her comments).

I am inspired by Wayne Dyer's advice to not die with your music still in you.  So I am starting to speak my message more and more boldly.  I know that my perspective will not resonate with everyone.  Depending on your own life experiences with disease, or struggles in general, you may or may not agree with what I am putting forth.  I am willing to accept this and know I won't please everyone in the audience.  In fact my True Purpose coach, Tim Kelley, would likely say that if I am not getting a strong reaction (whether it be positive or negative) then I am likely not delivering my message with enough courage and conviction!

So I would be very grateful to have your feedback in terms of my Telesummit interview. You can respond to me by e-mail (jackie@cancershift.com) or click on the Post comment link below.

Here
is the feedback I received yesterday from a cancer survivor who listened to the interview:

  • I found Jackie to be very grounded and shared from her heart. The interview was very informative and inspiring and overall, down right AMAZING!!!  I love the way Jackie melded such a vast array of information in such a heartfelt non-jargony  way.

Please sign up for the upcoming Telesummit to listen to the interview.  The Telesummit is free and features 28 experts in relationships, parenting, wellness and healing.  Thanks in advance for any comments, questions or feedback (+ or -) that you may have!
Have a wonderful week!

This is so cool...

You may remember that over the past few months I have been writing about how to fulfill your intentions.  The intention I created was to be able to share ideas in hopes of helping people view and experience disease differently.  My last few posts were about Step 3 - the practice of giving what you want to receive. So I interviewed Dr. Ameet  Aggarwal from Africa and wrote about Dr. Epstein’s interview - sharing some of their great work.  Then out of the blue, while I was on vacation, I received an invitation from Jane Lorenz asking me to speak at her Telesummit entitled From Dysfunction to Fun!!  I could hardly believe it, I was and still am, so excited!  My interview is going to air on July 7th and I will be talking about how to find the blessing in your struggle and of course about how to help people view and experience disease, and challenges in general, in a different light.

I am so grateful for this opportunity to share with others what I am so passionate about but also for the timing of the gift of Jane’s invitation. The invitation to speak moved me to Step 4start receiving.  I hope this will inspire you to really take the time and use the steps (see below) and start (or continue) manifesting your intention

I invite you to sign up for the upcoming Telesummit now – it is free and features 28 experts in relationships, parenting, wellness and healing.  I am confident that you will find some very interesting topics and I hope you will be able to listen to my interview.

Blessings for a wonderful week of manifesting!
Jackie

PS In case you want to review the 4 steps of manifesting here they are:

  1. Set a soul-based intention (that you feel passionate about)
  2. Nurture and prepare yourself to receive
  3. Give what you want to receive
  4. Be open, curious and start receiving!
